Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Live stream, Game time thread ...

Initial reactions and Observations
- Bayern actually cooked. When was the last time they played this well? Against a team fighting for Europe too. Well done from the team!
- Thomas Müller was a huge difference maker in this match. This makes a strong case for him to start some game sin the future even with Harry Kane fit (who had a meh game when brought on when he shouldn’t have been).
- Vincent Kompany’s mismanagement of player minutes will be further scrutinized after the substitution of Kane and Joshua Kimmich going down injured in the first half.
That’s all, folks! Thanks a bunch for watching this frankly historic Bayern performance. The Bavarians play Stuttgart next before the highly anticipated Champions League tie with Bayer Leverkusen. This is a good game to build on, so hopefully the team picks up maximum points for all games. That’s all for now, and we’ll see you next time!
90+3’ — Full time in the Allianz!
90+2’ — TOR! Serge Gnabry gets Bayern’s fourth!
83’ — TOR! Bayern get their third after Jamal Musiala runs past four Frankfurt defenders to slot the ball home!
64’ — Bayern’s triple substitution sees Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies come on for Thomas Müller and Hiroki Ito.
61’ — TOR! Hiroki Ito claims his first goal for Bayern after a mistake from Frankfurt’s defence off a corner!
47’ — Frankfurt nearly draw level but shoots wide of the goal.
45’ — Second half has begun!
Halftime Observations
- Bayern actually look like a decent side who can create chances. All it took was Thomas Müller’s return and Harry Kane’s temporary absence, Who would’ve thought?
- Despite some advances made by Frankfurt, Bayern have kept them at arm’s length so far.
- Joshua Kimmich’s injury comes at an untimely period where Bayern have a lot of games coming up.
45+7’ — Halftime
45+3’ — TOR! Bayern find the breakthrough via Michael Olise who taps the ball in from Leroy Sane’s cutback!
43’ — Joshua Kimmich comes off injured, which is not what Bayern needs.
23’ — Bayern peppering the opposition team’s goal, something no one thought would ever happen in a while.
15’ — Bayern actually creating chances but could not convert.
9’ — Thomas Müller and Michael Olise try to link up to open the scoring but the latter couldn’t put his foot through on the ball and shoots off target.
6’ — Frankfurt get the first big chance of the game but Hugo Ekitike fires wide.
Kickoff! — It’s whistles blown and away we go!
Lineups are out!—Eric Dier slots in for Dayot Upamecano who had to pull out, while Harry Kane is benched for Thomas Müller who starts at striker. Hiroki Ito starts at left-back with Alphonso Davies on the bench.
Bayern Munich has a grueling schedule ahead of them, especially with the Champions League knockout rounds all sorted out. The coming of March will see the Rekordmeister play three games in eight days, which is already half their games for the month.
The Bavarians begin by welcoming Eintracht Frankfurt to the Allianz for a Bundesliga clash, with Die Adler looking to maintain their European spot. Nothing separated the two teams the last time they met, which was a 3-3 draw. Can either team one-up the other today? Bayern is top of the league with a 17-4-1 record (55 points) while Frankfurt is in third place with a 12-6-4 record (42 points).
It’s Bayern time.
